Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if enchanting fails?

When enchanting fails, you lose the scroll and the gold spent on it, but your item remains intact. The item doesn't break or lose stats - you simply don't get the stat bonus. You can try again with another scroll.

Which scroll tier should I use?

It depends on your gold and goals. Basic/Advanced scrolls are best for early-game and multiple items. Expert scrolls are ideal for mid-game main equipment. Master/Legendary scrolls are only worth it for endgame BiS items due to their low success rates and high costs.

How is Expected Cost calculated?

Expected Cost = Scroll Price รท Success Rate. For example, a 2,500 gold scroll with 65% success rate has an expected cost of 3,846 gold. This is the average amount you'll spend to get one successful enchant.

What does ROI mean in enchanting?

ROI (Return on Investment) shows if the stat bonus is worth the gold cost. Positive ROI means good value. The calculator estimates value based on stat bonus vs expected cost. Higher ROI means better investment.

Can I increase success rates?

Some items and buffs in the game can increase enchanting success rates. Check for "Enchanting Luck" buffs from food, potions, or special rings. Some NPCs also offer enchanting services with slightly better rates for a premium.

Should I enchant multiple times?

Yes! Most items can be enchanted multiple times, stacking the stat bonuses. However, each enchant is independent - previous successes don't affect future attempts. Budget accordingly for multiple enchants.

Is it worth buying scrolls vs farming them?

It depends on your time and gold. Buying scrolls is faster but expensive. Farming scrolls from dungeons is free but time-consuming. For rare scrolls (Master/Legendary), buying is often more efficient than farming.

What's the best strategy for expensive scrolls?

For Master and Legendary scrolls, save up enough gold for multiple attempts (5-10). Don't use your last gold on a single attempt. Calculate the expected cost first and ensure you can afford at least 3-5 tries for a reasonable success chance.
